SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES Owner Sponsorship provides the foundations upon which the VAT Scheme for racehorse owners is built. The income received from sponsorship allows owners to reclaim VAT on their racing expenses - including training fees, transport costs, veterinary fees, jockeys fees Racehorse owners linked with a business or company may wish to maximise the use of the horse as an advertising tool in the form of sponsorship. A sponsorship registration fee must be paid allowing company emblems logos and names to be borne by the horse on its sheets and rugs, by the jockey on the colours and by the horses' attendants on their clothing. The company or business will receive national coverage in the press, and logos/emblems and names will be seen on television every time the horse runs.
